I originally had something else planned for this week, but after the discussion from last week, there was no other choice but to swap it for this.

Vegeta is a flippity-floppity character. “I’m evil! No wait, now I’m kind of sort of good. But wait! Let me be bad again for a moment, before I become a dad and turn into a total softie.” He needs to make up his mind, but people seem to like the guy so what do I know? Well, if you liked him, you’ll probably like Wei Shen. He’s a cop, but then he’s Triad, and sometimes he’s both!?! Makes no damn sense. But hey, what a cool name, right?

We’ve got four (4) copies of Sleeping Dogs to give away this week, with DLC and everything! Winners, as usual, will be chosen randomly from among all participants. Couple things to note though:

1) The game is not playable for people in Germany. Sorry guys, this is a Steam restriction and there’s not much we can do about it. If you live in Germany, you will not be able to play the game.

2) This one shouldn’t require saying, but let’s say it anyway. This game is rated M. There’s lots of drugs and violence, and some seriously brutal and gory content. If you’re under the age of 18 (or whatever is considered adult in your country), please make sure your parents are okay with you potentially playing this!

So here is contest entry! Let’s find out who you guys think are the most unconventional heroes. They can be from anywhere: video games, books, tv or movies! Who are the most unlikely heroes, those antiheroes and morally grey characters, and what makes us love them so much?

My personal favorite is Sylar, from Heroes. It’s a shame the show went downhill so quickly but damn, what a great character. Sylar as a good guy had so much potential, but the writers totally bombed that entire story arc. Dude can’t catch a break 🙁

Contest will run until 12 PM EDT on Friday, August 14th. That’s 12:00 noon. Winners will receive their prize via Steam gifts; a Steam account is required to receive and to play the game. One entry per user. Attempts to cheat the system will result in automatic disqualification.

Be sure to join our Steam group! The group is nearing 1k members, and we’ve got a great surprised planned for that, so help us reach that goal faster by inviting your friends!

We’re actively looking for volunteers to write community reviews for games, so if you’re interested, please reach out to me for more details

I would say Dexter Morgan. let me explain quickly who Dexter Morgan is. Dexter is a Miami Dade Blood Splatter expert. And that is all that’s interesting about him.He is depicted as the hero, Dexter is one of the few heroes who stabs and chops up their human bodies so that no one can ever find them again.

Might be a bit of a obvious answer, but I have to say Deadpool. As I like to explain it, there never was a fourth wall for him - and he broke the rest. He tends to simply do anything he feels like, good, bad, death, life - and is completely insane to boot.

Bilbo the Hobbit is a pretty unlikely hero. He grew into a role he never believed he could achieve. Only Gandalf saw him fit for adventure.

Han Solo. Smuggler, scoundrel and all around criminal. Yet, he over comes this and in the end turns into a pretty decent person that helps save the Galaxy.

Krieg the Psycho Vault-hunter is my current favorite... If you haven't seen it, his intro video "A Meat-Bicycle Made for Two" is pretty awesome.

Definitely going to have to be Takeshi Kovacs from Richard R Morgan's Altered Carbon series. Sure, lets save the girl and kill a few hundred people. No biggie. I love how he runs into trouble whenever people try to force him to do something.

Had to look that one up, but it seems really interesting! Thanks for providing me with new reading material 😀

How about Reese from "Person of Interest", he is a good guy that doesn't mind doing some bad things. I would have picked Root, but I am afraid what would happen if I was in the same room with her.

My hero = PYRO!!! Poor guy, never gets credit for capturing points and everyone keeps calling him a girl....

He WILL have his revenge....

Walter White of Breaking Bad. He's the protagonist and the entire plot revolves around him and his actions for the most part. It starts off somewhat reasonably: He needs to pay for his cancer treatment and is too proud to take donations from others, so he starts cooking meth. But as the series progresses, he becomes a cold-hearted killer countless times over, yet we the viewers still justify it because we've been following him from the very beginning when he was just a guy trying to cover his medical debt. At the end? 187 people are dead as a direct result of his actions (people who he has killed personally, as well as a literal planeload of people), as well as an innumerable amount of meth users who are indirectly dead. We root for him due to the unfortunate circumstances set at the beginning of the show, and continue to do so even as he turns from a guy with cancer trying to make it through to a full blown drug lord who kills without mercy. It's actually very interesting how the show is capable of doing this so well, and one of the reasons it's such a successful show.

Jack Bauer from the 24 series. President calls Bauer of an imminent threat, finds and tortures the bad guys, gets tortured, escapes, then tortures them in return, kills the bad guy, saves the day, family or friend gets killed. I haven't seen every season or episode, but it is the one i've seen over the years growing up.

This just has to be SNAKE PLITKIN from "Escape from New York"/LA etc. Kurt Russell has come a long way from the Mouseketeers in these movies. In them, he takes absolutely no crap from anyone, not even the President, whose ass, incidentally, he saves in spite of everything. Really, Goldie?

When I first think of anti-hero, the first character I think of is Snape ( Harry Potter). He is a rather interesting character, as he was perceived to be the villain for the majority of the franchise. It isn't until the very end that we realize that he had noble intentions the entire time.
